With the aim of showcasing new solutions that can contribute to improvements in quality of life in cities, Valid, the Brazilian multinational, will be taking part in the second Digital Cities Forum for the Metropolitan Region of Campinas (São Paulo State). This event, to be held on October 3, is organized by the Digital City Network – an initiative specializing in facilitating discussions with public administrators on topics related to digital inclusion – in partnership with the municipality of Vinhedo.
During the forum, Valid sales executive Cedric Monroe will be giving the talk “Generating Value by Integrating Biometrics into Citizen Identification,” in which he will be presenting the set of digital services and solutions for smart cities designed by the company for improving administration. Some of these include effective mechanisms for upgrading corporate registries, named the Citizen, Property, and Business registries, which form an integrated basis for supporting the municipality’s main businesses, from the tax collection process to direct service provision.
“By identifying citizens in a secure and unique way, the municipality will be validating registries applicable to multiple systems in use at city hall, since citizens can be a business owner, a property owner, and a healthcare patient, all at once,” explains Márcio Bastos, Commercial Superintendent of Identification at Valid.
Growth in the Smart Cities market has been driving investments in technology for this type of solution. According to market intelligence consultant IDC, global investments in the sector are expected to reach US$ billion by 2021. Valid is immersed in this ecosystem of innovation, and it offers a portfolio of Smart Cities solutions in Brazil and around abroad.
