Valid Teams with the State of Washington to Streamline Department of Licensing Driver’s License Issuance
Valid and Washington Department of Licensing (DOL) install 300 new cameras and enrollment software at Washington’s 26 busiest offices to increase efficiency
Lisle, IL – August 28, 2019 – Valid, the leading provider of technology solutions for mobile, identity, data and payments, partnered with the Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) to increase efficiency in the 26 busiest licensing service offices. Valid’s camera technology and workflow software allow customers to have their photo taken and complete their licensing transaction with one stop, reducing time spent at the licensing office.
Valid technology and personnel helped Washington’s DOL install image quality analysis software and 300 new cameras across the state. Use of Valid technology resulted in improved customer experience and reduced wait times. The system simplifies the licensing process and creates efficient customer flow in the 26 highest volume offices.
“This upgraded technology streamlines the entire experience for customers,” said Michael Fox, vice president and chief commercial officer at Valid. “DMVs and licensing departments across the country are always under pressure to reduce wait times and improve customer service. Valid’s hardware and software workflow helps reduce workload and increases efficiency which is good for customers and the agency.”
Valid successfully piloted the technology at the Tacoma licensing office in August of 2018 and then continued implementation statewide in early summer of 2019. Valid deployed the technology ahead of schedule thanks to Valid’s industry expertise and streamlined processes. The cameras are currently being used in Lynnwood, Seattle West, Seattle Downtown, Kent offices and 22 others.
