SolvEx Network Safeguard
A solution from Valid design to reduce network congestion caused by the repeated authentication of M2M devices.
This solution is intended for Mobile Network Operators (MNO) and Internet of Things (IoT) network providers. Badly configured connected devices can cause a signaling storm in operator’s IoT network. Network performance degrades and the signaling storm, in the extreme case, might lead to a network blackout. The normal approach would be to expand the network capacity to cater to increased demand in connectivity. However, this approach is not sustainable because the ARPU from M2M connectivity is lower and does not allow for expansion and hence the need for a robust solution to allow sustainable growth in M2M.
The Network Safeguard Solution relieves network congestion caused by the repeated authentication of M2M devices and is implemented using a Java application (Network Safeguard Application) on the SIM card and an application server (Network Safeguard Server) to manage & control the application. This is deployable on existing subscriber base.

SolvEx Network Safeguard comes with two distinct components, the Network Safeguard Application (Java applet) on one hand and Network Safeguard Server (SolvEx) on the other.
Valid’s final customer will benefit from management of M2M devices on the network, network congestion relief, precise implementation of “Back-Off” schemas, prioritizing of high ARPU subscribers, control and monitor the network and permanent disconnection of SIMs that are no longer attached to the network. Clients will also appreciate Valid’s references with Network Safeguard deployments as well as strong focus on future solution evolution.
